Richmond twilight gala.

Richmond Celebration Gala 

On Friday 8 November Richmond School held their Gala Celebrations. We were celebrating and thanking our community for all their support over the years. Everyone in the school took part in the Richmond School Twilight Gala.

 Mostly everyone went on the obstacle course, there were three more things to go on like Skate Boarding, a Bouncy Castle and there were also Mini Jeeps. Also My Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother two Cousins and our baby Nephew came to our gala. This school is old because it was opened in 1875-2013 soo this school is 138 years old WOW! not even I knew that. It all used to be at Richmond Village Green but then  it got moved here. My favourite activity to go on was the bouncy obstacle course because it was bigger than our classroom. 

We also set up a mini out door cafe it had fruit, Sausage sizzles, Bacon Butties, hot Meat Patties, sandwiches, coffee or tea, juice. And water.  Also there were people going round with popcorn and candy floss they were handing them out one by one.

It all started at 4:30 pm and ended at 6:30 pm. Everything  was free! it was weird at first but then it was became awesome but since everyone was there it was a lot of fun!

In my conclusion is if everyone had fun and I had fun. I even saw some people who came here last year.

Ukulele performance.

Yesterday the whole school had an ukulele performance. Each class played two songs except for the teachers, they played a medley. We all played in the library. The songs we were playing were called Row row row your boat, Wheels on the bus, This old man, If you're happy and you know it, Don't Worry Be happy, YMCA, Superman, Let it be, The Show, I'm Yours and We Will Rock You. I felt really nervous and a little bit excited too. It was a good concert.

Ukulele.

Hello it's me John again. Every class at our school do ukulele lessons every Friday. Our ukulele concert is today at 2:30 PM. We have a ukulele teacher named Paul. Matua Paul is our music teacher, he is a very good teacher because we have already learned how to play and sing three songs this term. The three songs that singing are called "YMCA", "We will rock you" and "Don't Worry,Be Happy". We have  been doing ukulele lessons for 8 to 10 weeks. I am looking forward to what songs we will learn next.

Kia Ora my name is John. I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I am a boy. I go to a local school in Richmond. I like playing with Lego, playing PS3 and going on our Computer. My favourite food is KFC, Chicken and Mc Donald's. I like going to the park, going to the shops and going to school. My favourite colours are black, red and purple. My favourite animals are Lions, Tigers, Bears, Snow Leopards and Domestic Cats.  My dream job is to become an architectural builder. My favourite animated movie is "Despicable Me." I am looking forward to going to watch "Despicable Me 2" during the holidays. My favourite T.V shows are Adventure Time, Regular Show and The Amazing World of Gum ball. At school I really enjoy doing ABL and Art.
